Black Taxi Taxi
Iconic Hong Kong taxi cabs, mounted and framed to go.
In case you are wondering, Hong Kong has a complex taxi licensing system, and we are served (very ably, and very cheaply) by red taxis, who ply HK Island and some parts of Kowloon, green taxis, who gad about the New Territories, and blue taxis, who call Lantau home. They are all a breed unto them selves: cheerful, pragmatic drivers always ready to teach you a bit of the lingo, who, to a man, go from foot down acceleration to hard braking (there is one especially who is known as the Kangaroo his rides are so stop start!) and all believe firmly that to use their headlights consumes more petrol, so better leave them off.
The frame measures 25 x 25 x 4 cm, and it has a hook on the back to hang it, and there are three metal diecast taxis mounted within. And so here we have a little bit of Hong Kong to take home.
